Richard Webster holds a PhD from the University of Bristol in Physics and is employed as a research associate in the Electron Microscope Unit at UNSW, Sydney - a Node of Microscopy Australia. Richard has 9 years experience using transmission electron microscopes and has over 25 publications regarding TEM application to an extensive range of materials. Richard’s role in the unit is to collaborate with researchers around the University and to teach researchers to use TEM.

Richard’s recent research has focused on the application of electron microscopy techniques to analyse interfaces and defects to interpret the relationship between micro- and nano-structure and macro-properties.
